Meet our Researchers
Dr. Lu Le
Dr. Le received his Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics (with Owen N. Witte), and a medical degree (M.D.) from the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at UCLA/St. Mary Medical Center, residency training in Dermatology and a postdoctoral fellowship in Cancer Biology (with Luis F. Parada) from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Le is now chair of the Department of Dermatology at University of Virginia.
Dr. David Gutmann
David Hillel Gutmann is an American neurologist. He teaches at Washington University in St. Louis, where he is the Donald O. Schnuck Family Professor, Vice Chair for Research Affairs for the Department of Neurology, and director of the Neurofibromatosis Center. He is an international expert in Neurofibromatosis, pioneering the use of preclinical models to understand brain tumors and neurodevelopmental delays in children with NF1.
Dr. Sameer Agnihotri
Dr. Agnihotri graduated from the University of Toronto in 2005 with a bachelor of science honors degree in biology, specializing in genetics. He earned his PhD in medical biophysics in 2011 from the University of Toronto where he used genetic screens to identify novel drivers of glioblastoma, an incurable brain tumor. He subsequently completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumor Research Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children, in Toronto, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Division of Neuro-oncology Research, also in Toronto.
